In 2011, he turned his knowledge of neuroscience to the study of why we hate with the publication of his book, Baseless Hatred. In response to the 2016 election and his concern that civilizations can be destroyed from within by political hatred, he devised his People Over Politics plan and wrote Mending America’s Political Divide, People Over Partisan Politics.
